کشتار عزیزآباد
تحقیقات سازمان ملل متحد نشان می‌دهد که حملات هوایی آمریکا در ۲۲ اوت ۲۰۰۸، ۹۰ غیرنظامی افغانستانی را قتل‌عام کرده است. در میان این کشته‌ها، ۶۰ کودک به چشم می‌خورند. این حادثه در روستای نوآباد در منطقه عزیزآباد به وقوع پیوست. یکی از اعضای این منطقه در پارلمان افغانستان اذعان کرد که روستاییان برای یک مراسم یادبود آماده می‌شدند که مورد هدف حملات هوایی نیروهای آمریکایی قرار گرفتن
