طلاق عاطفی مسئله ای است که محیط های گرم خانواده ها را در ایران تهدید میکند، و از آنجایی که در آمارها پدیدار نمیشود، میتواند خطرناک تر باشد، نتیجه های آنرا میتوان در پیامد هایی مثل: خیانت به همسر یا تربیت نامناسب کودکان در اثر عدم توجه، پیدا کرد.
طلاق عاطفی، همچون موریانه ای است که از داخل و بدون صدا پیش میرود، و ناگهان نزدیکان متوجه میشوند که زوجین قصد طلاق دارند، و از ناگهانی این حادثه تعجب میکنند، که با جملاتی مثل(این ها که همیشه با هم خوب بودند) تعجب را بروز می دهند.
طلاق عاطفی، محصول نارضایتی زوجین از یکدیگر در بُعد های مختلف زندگی است، و یکی از عوامل این نارضایتی میتواند استفاده نامناسب از رسانه های باشد، که باید در عدم تأثیر پذیری از این عامل، تلاش شود، چرا که آنچه در رسانه ها نمایش داده میشود غیر واقعی و در موارد زیادی بالا تر از سطح زندگی اکثر افراد جامعه است.[۱]
